Learn Italian while Having Fun

Are you looking for the ultimate vacation—going to summer school in Italy? You can enroll in a wide range of courses that can include the study of the language, if that's your choice. Some of the most popular language schools in Italy will make all the arrangements for you to stay in a home, including choices about size of room, food service, etc. The accommodations may range from modest to spectacular, according to what you need.

Because the culture of Italy is so unique, your exposure to it will influence the way you live out the rest of your life. Quality of life is inevitably enhanced by a deeper understanding of the history of ideas, art, and culture.

Minnesota State University also offers a study tour of Italy every year for its students. The 2008 program, for example, included a walking tour of Rome, a tour of the Vatican museums as well as opportunities for independent exploration. In Naples, students made a guided excursion to Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius. In Sorrento, on the other hand, students had a free day but could opt for an excursion to Capri. This travel tour offers college credit and is an excellent introduction to Italian culture and language. Language courses in Italian are offered at the University to extend students' understanding of the culture of Italy.
